Efficient and integrative tool lifecycle management for a global company
With the help of the CLC-PADD® solution, a model database was made available at ERHARD, which enables an integrative tool lifecycle management of casting models, in which, among other things, information and processes from the inquiry phase to scrapping can be viewed.
The focus was clearly on transparency regarding costs, the condition of the casting models and their use, as well as the possibility of implementing change/relocation processes in a structured and traceable manner.
By tracking the parts produced via the casting patterns, forward planning of replacement procurement is possible via an interface in SAP ERP in combination with the configuration and documentation data - keyword service life tracking. An aspect that is not only important for the long-term procurement of tools / casting models, but also for investment planning.
